My plugin stopped working out of no where. Nothing has been changed since it last worked besides the addition of new plugins.

Can you help me?

Sounds like a plugin conflict. Can you go through and disable plugins one by one to see which one is causing the issue? And when you say it's broken, what is happening?

Your so fast at replying, I love it.

It just doesnt forward to the TERMS page anymore as it use to. Ill try the plugins disabling later when I get home from work and get back to you.

If u want to look at my WP Im more than happy to email u login info.

This could be a 2.9 issue. When I go to your terms page, I don't see the accept button, which should only be hidden if the user has already accepted. I'm working on a release. Let me know if you find any plugin conflicts too.

Thanks!

Then again maybe not…. I'm not finding a problem in my testing. The buttons aren't supposed to show on that page unless the user is redirected to it. So, it still looks like a plugin conflict since the redirect depends on Javascript. One of your plugins must be interferring with the javascript. Let me know what you find.

Sorry for the long delay. I have deactived every single plugin except the TERMS OF  USE and it still doesnt forward to the TERMS OF USE ACCEPTANCE PAGE.

It use to work perfectly in IE7/8 and FF but not at all anymore. Ive uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled it and it didnt work.

I have deactivated every single plugin and that didnt work.

Any ideas I really need this plugin to work :(

I made a few changes to the settings in version 1.11.0, which I released this week. The terms page is now a drop-down instead of a text field to enter the URL. Maybe make sure your settings are updated?

I'm with Orlando on this, i'm also not having any success with this plugin.

When I put the ToS on a page using the short code, I just get the ToS, not initial and I agree info.

There were a few times during testing where I did receive that information, but when I accepted and moved on, I just got the ToS, no welcome information.

After upgrading WP to 2.9 and the plugin, I just get ToS text, no initial to continue.

Still doest work. Im more than happy to give u my wordpress login info to check if I did something wrong. I even recreated the terms page but it didnt help. When I did that, the drop down now shows 2 TERMS pages… like its not checking the WP DB for new revisions, it just reads new ones, stores it and moves on even if it doesn't exist

I did notice something last night.

I created a page called "Test" to test the plugin.

Selected it from the drop down, wasn't having any success so I deleted the page.

I went back into the edit screen for the TOS2 and the Test page was still in the drop down menu even though it no longer existed on the site, a cache issue with the plugin?

Josh, I was actually confused on this one too, until I went back to look at my code this week. The terms page works in two different ways. When you go to the page directly, the button to agree should not show up. It should only show if the parameter ?redirected=true is on the end of your URL. The welcome message only shows in the admin. In the front end, after the terms are accepted, you should just be forwarded to the protected page. Maybe check to see if this is what is happening for you?

Orlando, why don't you email me login info?

Ok, rewinding a little bit here.

I installed the 1.10 plugin from the archives.

Created a Terms of Use Page and linked to it in the URL field.

I entered the short code [terms-of-use] on that Terms of Use Page

I selected my STORE page from the drop down.

I go to the store page, and I get redirected to the TOS to sign, sign it and move onto the store page.

However, when I clear the intial cache from the plugin settings, it doesn't work, when I go back to the page using my browser, I still have access to the page again.

The browsers are still saving the cookie it appears, if I clear my browsers cache, i get the initial screen again.

Although a little clunky, this is how it should be working. I haven't added a way to de-validate the cookies that get saved to the browser. When logged-in users accept the terms, it gets saved to the database. This is what is cleared in the settings. Is the redirection working any differently for you with version 1.11?

Seems like having the "Clear all previous user agreements so users can reaccept terms. Caution: there is no undo." is pointless then if the user can't re-accept the terms, unless this is strictly for logging into wordpress accounts (which for my site is very rare people actually login).

I haven't updated to 1.11 yet since 1.10 is technically working.

Heh, that would help. steph@strategy11.com

Josh, I'll be the first to admit this plugin is not perfect. But like any software, it has to start somewhere. Since I don't get paid to update and maintain this plugin, the development and features go very slowly since I first have to work on the things I get paid for. Sorry to disappoint.

I'm not disappointed in any shape or form, I'm grateful you took the time to offer a plugin like this.

I just think for a future update, you should either A) Remove the clear agreement check box since it doesnt' work, or B) find a way to de-validate the cookie and re-validate it in case the terms change.
