Hi,
just installed and created a form with formidable and I am unable receive emails when testing the form. I have tried all of the recommendations you have set forth thus far, installed wp mail, deactivated and actived, checked the email addresses, tried new ones etc. Can you please tell me whether I can use the non-pro version and still capture the leads we are trying to collect? Thanks

First off, have you verified that any emails are being sent from your site? Maybe try testing the forgot password email or something. If that doesn't work, try contacting your web host.

When I ran WP Mail SMTP, a test email was sent with Use the PHP mail() function to send emails option selected. Im still not getting any emails from the formidable plugin. I have read the forum post, but I never saw a clear answer on how to fix the problem. Can you let me know what steps to take next to get the plugin working.

The clearest steps I can provide you with can be found here:
http://blog.strategy11.com/for…..able-faqs/
There are many reasons users have found for emails not being delivered, so there is no clear-cut answer. Some have had unusual characters in their site titles, some web hosts will only send emails from certain email addresses, some web hosts have configurations that prevent emails from sending…. The list goes on and on. Also, please configure the SMTP plugin to use SMTP instead of PHP mail for better results.

I'm having the same issues as many others. I've installed the WP SMTP Mail plugin and used the testing function with in it to successfully send emails from both PHP mail and SMTP. The Formidable forms are creating entries on the backend but are not generating emails. The site is hosted on GoDaddy

With GoDaddy hosting, others have had to use their GoDaddy hosted email address as well in order to get emails. You might also want to try testing the form with an email address that is not gmail, yahoo, or hotmail. Another possible blocker is if your site title title included unusual characters. Other users have also reported success with Configure SMTP:

If you learn more or have success with any of these suggestions, it would be awesome if you posted back here for the rest of us.

solution found…I started having problems with formidable after upgrading to WP 3.1. I commented out the lines as suggested on the first page of this form (lines 33 and 34 of formidable/classes/models/FrmNotification.php).
then I deleted the default email field as found in the free version of the contact form template and replaced it with a one line text field and named it "Your E-Mail Address." ( I dont know if you need to delet the default email field but I did anyway).
The obvious problem is that there is no validation on the email address now but I did succeed in sending a gmail address through this form to a godaddy account…the working form is at gaiarendering.com.
