Hi Steph

Thanks for a great plugin.

I am using Display Widgets to show a different image on different pages.  All this is done using the default text widget.

It works great for all my parent pages but the widgets don't display  on my child pages.   (I need to do it this way because I am using drop down menus).

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks again

Andy

Subpages should also show in the check box list. However, if they don't show on the WordPress list of pages, it won't show here either. In that case, the pages are dynamically created by a plugin and are not true pages. Is this the problem?

Hi Steph

They are just regular pages created with no plugins just the put under a parent page.

The pages do show in the Wordpress list of pages and in Display Widgets.

Based on your suggestion I thought it might be a plugin conflict so I have deactivated all plugins but I still get the same issue.

Cheers

Getting the pages to list is a pretty basic database query, so there shouldn't be room for plugin conflicts. If the child pages are published, they should show up in the check box list.

Hi Steph

Both the pages and the child pages I want show up in the Display Widgets drop down box.  I can select them fine as well.

I just can't get them to behave so that when you click on a child page the right widget (Text widget (Arbitary text or HTML) with a link to an image) is activated and displays properly.

I have tried just about every combination I can think of. I even tried Show on Checked for all the main pages only and Hide on Checked for everything but the image I want on the child pages.  That worked to a point but I get pretty weird results.

I have tried reinstalling wordpress and the plugin to see if that made any difference.  Nothing I'm afraid.

I am clutching at straws here but does the URL/Permalink structure make any difference?  At the moment a child page link looks like:

http://www.site.co.uk/parentpa…..childpage/

Would renaming the pages make any difference?

Thanks for all the help and support.

Andy

The naming doesn't make a difference, and this plugin sees no difference between child and parent pages. This is working fine for me when I select "show on checked" and check the boxes of the child pages to show it on. If you're still having trouble you can send me login info so I can take a look. I found and fixed the issue. This is updated in version 1.10.
